Waste Recovery
One of the main aims of Reciclajes Merida’s industrial process is to recover waste products in order to comply with the requirements set forth in Law 7/2022, of 8 April, regarding Waste and Soil Contamination for a Circular Economy.

Recovery operations facilitate appropriate waste management and help companies comply with the directive prioritising recycling over direct elimination. 20th century waste products are a source of energy or secondary raw materials. They constitute the first link in the recycling chain, the cornerstone of the circular economy, and a key factor in European Commission objectives for 2030.
It is therefore crucial that waste products (paper and cardboard, plastic, glass, wood, metals) be recovered separately at source. This facilitates the subsequent recycling procedure and the obtention of secondary materials which can then be sold to help reduce the cost of proper waste management.
