Waste Products Handled

Paper and Cardboard: All paper and cardboard waste delivered to the Reciclajes Merida plant is processed in accordance with the requirements set out in the European standard UNE-EN 643:2014 Paper and Cardboard, thus ensuring that the materials recovered meet the grade parameters required for their reuse in the paper industry in Europe, North Africa and Asia.

Plastics: Plastic waste is very difficult to degrade and eliminate and its accumulation adversely affects both human beings and the environment. Its proper processing and recycling is therefore of the utmost importance. As a company specialising in integral waste management, Reciclajes Merida, offers solutions for the vast majority of plastics: LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, PET, EPS, PVC, PA, PC and  PMMA .

Wood: Industrial activity and distribution generate huge quantities of wood and wood derivative waste (pallets, boards, packaging, pressed wood materials, DM, etc.). Reciclajes Merida has the equipment needed to process it. Repairable pallets are reused, while other products are shredded and subsequently recycled for use either as raw materials in factories or as biomass.

Metals: Reciclajes Merida collects, transports and stores both assorted (scrap) metals and pre-sorted metals. Once the metal has been properly sorted at our facilities, it is sent to authorised processing agents for final treatment and certified recycling.

Other Waste Products:

 - MSW/ISW: Rediclajes Merida processes both municipal and industrial solid waste, when possible recovering it by means of a sorting process at our own facilities, recovering most of it and minimising the amount sent to authorised dumping sites.

 - Hazardous Waste: Our company has robust collaboration agreements with different companies specialising in the handling of toxic and hazardous waste and with corporate philosophies and  working methods that ensure the best treatment of this kind of waste.
